We take Riesling seriously here. If it was permitted, this would have been labeled “Dry Riesling” to dispel any thoughts that it is an innocuous, semi-sweet, vin ordinaire. The fruit for this wine came from Rancho Los Alamos in a region where white varietals all seem to have an extra measure of viscosity. It was barrel fermented in neutral French oak which further broadened the palate and enhance the subtle fruit character. This is a wonderful, versatile food wine.
