Santa Barbara County has the climate and terroir to allow many varietals not well known to thrive and become something more, unexpected. Pinot Blanc, although not the most glamorous member of the Pinot family, has proven its worth. The 2019 keeps on evolving from delicious and fresh at release, to a richer more complex wine with age. The grapes are carefully handpicked and sorted in the vineyard. After harvesting, the grapes are whole cluster pressed, and juice is quickly settled and chilled to begin barrel fermentation. The wine is dry and completed malo-lactic fermentation. After a year in French oak barrels, 25% new, it was bottled. This is a rich, Chardonnay-esque white with notes of apple and almond backed by gentle toasty oak. The palate is viscous and the finish goes on and on. Bottle Price: $39.00

2021 Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County
Tuesday, November 30th, 2021
From Santa Maria Valley (Bien Nacido) and Los Alamos (Kick-On and Los Alamos Vineyard) fruit, this Pinot has the best of both worlds. Santa Maria provides the cranberry/cherry fruit notes with sage and spice overtones in the nose that carries through to the palate. Los Alamos increases the richness and depth. The wine was fermented and aged for about 10 months in French oak barrels. Beautiful now and will continue to develop for years to me. Bottle price: $45.00
2017 Cellar Select Red, Santa Barbara County
Tuesday, November 30th, 2021Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot are not the usual grape varieties associated with Santa Barbara County, but there are microclimates where they thrive. Thoughtful blending elevates character. This wine is that thoughtful blend of Bordeaux varieties that was aged for 20 months in french oak barrels. The wine is deeply colored and well structured showing a very berry quality with hints for cedar and sage. It is a full bodied red that will benefit with further age, but is so enjoyable now. Bottle Price: SOLD OUT
