Bedford 2009 Gewurz web 125inExquisite. This impeccably balanced, crisp, dry white shows the classic lychee nut, pear and floral elements found in Alsatian versions, but this one is more restrained, elegant, seductive. Barrel fermentation in neutral oak adds another dimension increasing complexity beyond the norm and providing a rich, creamy texture without the toastiness associated with barrel aging.  It only enhances the fruit and enriches the body. This is what most Gewurzs aspire to be. While it is ideal for sipping outdoors on the veranda on a hot, summer afternoon, this complex wine is also a natural with patés, shellfish, roast pork, and delightful with the holiday turkey or goose.  ALMOST SOLD OUT!  Bottle Price: $20.00
