Bedford-2010Syrah-Label-200
2010 was a wonderful year for reds providing complex, rich wines of density and class. This Syrah has the signature deep berry character with smoky, earth tones and Oriental spice. The fruit, from the Los Alamos Vineyard, was ideally ripe and balanced at harvest. The grapes were cold soaked for 72 hours, 5% whole cluster fermentation, with 35 days of post-fermentation maceration. The wine was aged 38 months in barrel, 20% new (10% Center Forests of France and 10% tight grained Minnesota American) which added a toasty note while integrating all the elements. A longer aging period brought a regal demeanor to the wine and a luxurious suppleness providing a grace seldom scene in younger vintages. Enjoy now but it will continue to develop handsomely.
Magnums Only (1.5L): $100.00 (very limited)
