2021 Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County

Tuesday, November 30th, 2021

From Santa Maria Valley (Bien Nacido) and Los Alamos (Kick-On and Los Alamos Vineyard) fruit, this Pinot has the best of both worlds. Santa Maria provides the cranberry/cherry fruit notes with sage and spice overtones in the nose that carries through to the palate. Los Alamos increases the richness and depth. The wine was fermented and aged for about 10 months in French oak barrels. Beautiful now and will continue to develop for years to me. Bottle price: $45.00

2017 Cellar Select Red, Santa Barbara County

Tuesday, November 30th, 2021

Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot are not the usual grape varieties associated with Santa Barbara County, but there are microclimates where they thrive. Thoughtful blending elevates character. This wine is that thoughtful blend of Bordeaux varieties that was aged for 20 months in french oak barrels. The wine is deeply colored and well structured showing a very berry quality with hints for cedar and sage. It is a full bodied red that will benefit with further age, but is so enjoyable now. Bottle Price: SOLD OUT

2012 Old Man Red Field Blend, Santa Barbara County – sold out

Thursday, December 10th, 2020

It had to be wine worthy of a great man – my Dad. He taught me my love of books, gardening, science, and critical thinking. He was open minded, nonjudgmental, kind, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He inspires me to be better everyday though he is no longer present. So this wine honors Ed Bedford. We saved the best barrels until last of the 2012 vintage. This is a rich, well integrated red blend that emphasizes Cabernet Franc along with a few other Bordeaux varietals (Merlot, Petit Verdot) to create a complex, enticing experience. It was aged 36 months in older french oak barrels to reign in the powerful fruit. The wine is dense with deep berry flavors and notes of earthy spice ending a long, satisfying finish. Drinking beautifully now, it can be enjoyed immediately but will continue to age for many years to come.  Bottle Price: $45.00
